{"id":2830,"date":"2018-05-15T13:06:16","date_gmt":"2018-05-15T18:06:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mansfieldsoccer.org\/?page_id=2830"},"modified":"2020-08-10T14:58:03","modified_gmt":"2020-08-10T19:58:03","slug":"academy-soccer","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mansfieldsoccer.org\/index.php\/academy-soccer\/","title":{"rendered":"Academy Soccer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Academy Registration open year round <a href=\"https:\/\/reg.sportspilot.com\/100088\/leagues\">Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><i>What is academy soccer?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Academy soccer is a recreational hybrid. \u00a0A player can play rec and academy at the same time. \u00a0If a player registers for Recreation soccer with MSA their academy paperwork is included in the registration fees. \u00a0A parent only has to send an email to the office and request the paperwork and provide a copy of the player\u2019s birth certificate. \u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Registrar@mansfieldsoccer.org\">Registrar@mansfieldsoccer.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For players who want to only play academy they must register with a home association.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose to register with MSA you must register in the academy only league \u2013 your child will not be placed on a recreation team. \u00a0\u00a0You must email a copy of your player\u2019s birth certificate to <a href=\"mailto:registrar@mansfieldsoccer.org\">registrar@mansfieldsoccer.org<\/a>. \u00a0If you choose to register with MSA the cost will be $50 and your academy form will be good for the Fall and Spring season.<\/p>\n<p>Just because you use MSA as your home association this does not mean that you are limited to Revolution academy team. \u00a0Your academy form is good for any club in North Texas that has an academy team.<\/p>\n<p>Academy soccer is limited to U7 \u2013 U10 players.<\/p>\n<p>Academy is different than rec in the following ways:<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Recreational Soccer<\/i><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <b><i>Academy soccer<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>All players guaranteed 50% playing time\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \/ \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 Play time is earned \u2013no guarantee of play time<\/p>\n<p>The home association places a player on \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \/\u00a0 \u00a0 Players can change teams at will<\/p>\n<p>A team for the length of the season<\/p>\n<p>Pay one fee at the beginning of season\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \/ \u00a0 \u00a0 Register\/pay home association fee and then<\/p>\n<p>expect to pay monthly club fees to the team<\/p>\n<p>you selected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">MSA will place you on a team\u00a0\u00a0 \/ Player must find their own team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Academy Registration open year round Here What is academy soccer?
